Melanie Forsdike –  Pilates Instructor

Melanie qualified as a physiotherapist in 2001 and has since worked in many roles within the NHS, covering all areas of physiotherapy, gaining well rounded experience and specialising in neurology. She currently works as a clinical lead physiotherapist in the community.

Alongside her NHS role she works for Hallam Pilates as a Pilates instructor.  Melanie completed her matwork and class instructor Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) in 2005 and has been teaching Pilates ever since. She has completed further Pilates training over the years, most recently Pilates for osteoporosis and neurological Pilates.

Prior to studying as a physiotherapist, Melanie gained a number of National coaching awards including ISRM fitness leaders, NVQ II sport and recreation multi gym instructor and CCPR community sports leader award, which help keep her patients fit and active.
